You might want to consider staying at this private apartment because of its convenient location and the atmosphere of the surrounding areas where you get to experience Tokyo between the 70s and the 80s.
This private apartment is a 10 minute walk from Shiinamachi Station on the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line, which is just one stop from Ikebukuro which takes 5 minutes. Around Shiinamachi Station, there is one supermarket and are several shops where you can buy Japanese local food in reasonable prices.
The other station which is a 7 minute walk is Ochiai-minami-nagasaki Station on the Toei-Oedo Line.
To Shinjuku it takes just over 10 minutes and to Roppongi is just over 20 minutes. Which means that this private apartment is in a very convenient location!
Inside your private room you have your own kitchen, shower and toilet (japanese style). Even though the outlook of this place is very old, the inside has been renovated.
The bill for the water is included in the rent but, electricity and gas fees are your responsibilities.
